Spb Wireless Monitor 3.0 Reviewed
Today I’ve got another SPB product for review, it’s version 3.0 of their Wireless Monitor. I’ve never had the chance to play with any of their earlier versions so I’m not sure how much of a difference their is between them, but I can can tell you about this version, how it works and my impressions.
So read on for screenshots, impressions and a brief video as well of it running on my Tilt…

SPB Wireless Monitor does include a plugin for your home screen, but if you’ve got all of the monitoring enabled you’ll end up having to scroll if you’ve got a few things on your home screen. Personally I like everything in easy view, I don’t like to scroll.
Clicking on the little molecule looking icon takes you to the main interface where you can access a few other options as well
Everything is configurable for the most part, you can just check or uncheck which items you want to display on your home screen. There’s a menu with options to export reports, you can set tariffs, and set alarms for when traffic exceeds your preset limits, which is great of course if you’re not on an unlimited data plan.
Here’s a video tour of SPB Wireless Monitor, and it’s sort of a mini review as well:
Overall SPB Wireless Monitor is a not a bad product if you need it, personally I have no use for it, so if you want it add a comment below and I’ll randomly select someone to get my key.
If I had to give it a score it would be a 4.5 out of 5.
It loses the half point because it takes up so much of the screen.
I didn’t notice any sort of battery drain while using it either.
Pros:
-Easy to use
-Can be very useful
-Doesn’t drain battery
Cons:
-Takes up a lot of screen space

I’ve been using SPB Wireless Monitor 3.0 for a couple weeks and I love it. I’ve got an unlimited data plan but I was curious about the heavy data usage showing up on my phone bills. Using the software I’m able to see what program uses more data, which times of the day that my phone is using more data, and more. I only care about my MediaNet usage, so I configured the Today Screen plug-in to only show that connection. The screen usage is very small that way, so much so that I have trouble clicking on it with my finger. I’ve also configured the tariff feature to warn me if I ever reach 2.0GB in a month, since AT&T is capping their “unlimited” at 2.5GB now.
Thanks for the site, and keep up the great work!

The old version “GPRS Monitor” had a little icon that would go in the topbar, it used to say the speed of your connection and other various info so opening the app fully was not necessary.
Hopefully they will bring that back.
