Daniusoft Media Converter

10 Hello, Hello! It’s Friday, and it’s been quite while since I’ve taken a look at any media conversion programs, so, as you can see by the title up there, today I’m taking a look at Daniusoft Media Converter. The program is quick to convert as it does utilize quad core CPUs, and it’s easy to use, it’s a bit on the expensive side, but it does also convert media, and remove DRM. What the legalities are there I’m not to sure, but I just review ‘em, that’s what I know and do…

So read on to check it out…

First up of course is the specs, features etc:

Using the program is as easy as finding the file you want to convert, clicking the output settings, and hitting start, easy enough.

There are drop down or drop up boxes on the bottom regarding the settings, you can use the default settings or customize them to your own needs.

As before I used Stargate Ultimate Edition for testing, the first problem I ran into with this program was that it can’t read Divx or .AVI files, so I had to use another program to convert it to .WMV first. That conversion ended up with a file that was about 1gig, or .98GB.

Once I got the settings adjusted etc, I hit start and waited for not even seven minutes, it took 6 minutes and 33 seconds to complete the conversion process, and the resulting file was only 615MB in size.

As I mentioned in the intro this program does utilize quad core CPUs if you’ve got one in your system, so that in itself is a bonus.

If I had to give this program a rating it would be fairly low, maybe a 3.5 out of 5 score, it gets bonus points for speed, ease of use and quad core utilization, but loses points because I had to convert the file before I could convert it with this program.

In the end if you need to convert videos for your phone, then I’d stay away from this as it can’t really convert everything as I think it should.

As for the DRM part, I’m not sure about that…
